Charlotte Lafitte is a project manager at United Cities and Local Governments’ Committee on Local Finance and Development. Based in Barcelona, she focuses on fiscal decentralization and leveraging external resources for financing local infrastructures and basic services. She has worked with the Paris Urban Planning Agency on the city’s youth policies and on the rethinking of French urban policy for deprived neighbourhoods, and with the Global Fund for Cities’ Development (FMDV) African regional office in Rabat on the strengthening of financial capacity in African cities.
